Procure Smart is supporting Sunderland boxer Joe Miller as he continues to build a winning start to his career.
Miller, 20, turned professional in November 2023 and has kicked off his career with three wins.
The talented Seaham boxer fights out of Ryhope Boxing and Fitness Gym and has achieved one of his early goals of reaching three successful bouts in 2024.
Featherweight “Masher” Miller has overcome three highly experienced professionals this year, using his lengthy 5 ft 10 frame and prioritising impressive style and control in his early displays. His opponents Luke Fash, Jack England and Mexican Erick Omar Lopez have more than 140 combined fights, demonstrating Miller’s early ability to mix it with the most experienced of operators.
Miller is signed to Jobes Boxing Promotions and is fighting alongside university studies. His latest win has seen him jump up the rankings to 16th in the UK.
He has made the jump to professional look straightforward, following a glittering amateur career featuring two International Box Cup Championships; two National Boxing Cup Championships; six North East Championships; and a North East Senior Elite Belt.
Miller penned a social media message the day after his latest victory to cap off a highly successful year.
He said: “Thank you to my sponsors Lee Cars, Procure Smart and Florence Jesmond, who have backed me since the start. Also, to everyone who continues to buy tickets to come and watch me.
“I wouldn’t be able to do what I love each day and perform in front of everyone on Fight Night without you. Thank you.”
Craig Shields, Managing Director at Procure Smart, said: “It has been a pleasure watching Joe make such a strong start to his career and impress everyone with his performances.
“The life of an early-stage pro boxer is very difficult financially, with responsibilities for training, kit, travel, expenses of opponents and more. It was great to contribute towards this and see our logo on Joe’s kit. We know he can continue his rise in 2025.”
Joe will be back in action next year and everyone at Procure Smart would like to wish him the best of luck in the next stages of his fledgling career.
