Procure Smart is continuing its passionate support of grassroots sport by providing kit for Whitburn and Cleadon Junior Football Club.
The Whitburn-based Russell Foster League club provides community football for children and young people from Under 7 to Under 18 age groups.
Founded in 1989, “The Yellows” run 23 youth teams and play at Cleadon Lane in Whitburn.
Craig Shields, Managing Director of Procure Smart, said: “We’re passionate sports fans at Procure Smart and believe that playing sport provides many life skills as well as health benefits for people of all ages. Many of our colleagues, including myself, are involved in youth teams such as Whitburn and Cleadon JFC and we enjoy sharing stories from our children’s sporting exploits on a Monday morning.
“It has been a privilege watching the players at the club enhance their skills and grow into excellent young people. We look forward to supporting the club throughout the 2024/25 season and hopefully beyond.”
Procure Smart also sponsors Peterlee and District Sunday League adults’ team Eppleton FC. The team play out of Eppleton Cricket Club and currently sit sixth in the PDSL Premier League.
But footballers aren’t the only sportspeople to benefit from the business’ desire to deliver a positive impact on its local area.
Sunderland boxer Joe Miller has made a superb start to his professional career with three wins from his first three fights against respectable opponents. Procure Smart have provided sponsorship and staff have attended Joe’s first three bouts.
Craig Shields continued: “We work in partnership with many of these clubs to generate value for our business and use it to reinvest into sporting sponsorships and projects.
“Good luck to the lads at Eppleton FC for the season ahead and to Joe, who has announced his fourth fight of the year on 30th November 2024.”
