Procure Smart Strengthens Growing Partnership with Spennymoor Town FC Following Successful Partner Engagement Night

Procure Smart is celebrating another successful milestone in its growing relationship with Spennymoor Town FC following the club’s Partner Engagement Night yesterday (16 July 2026), where local businesses, stakeholders and sponsors came together to explore new opportunities for collaboration and support.

As Principal Partners of Spennymoor Town FC, Procure Smart was proud to take part in the event, sharing insights into the changing business landscape and highlighting how organisations can take smarter approaches to contract management, cost reduction, income generation and commercial opportunities.

The evening welcomed over 50 guests and provided a platform for meaningful conversations between businesses from across the region, reinforcing the important role that Spennymoor Town FC continues to play as a hub for the local business community.

Craig Shields, Managing Director of Procure Smart, greeted guests and introduced the partnership between the club and the business. Commercial Partnerships Manager, Sarah Andrews, took the helm to dig deeper into the strength of the partnership between Procure Smart and Spennymoor Town FC, a relationship that continues to develop through a growing number of initiatives designed to benefit businesses, fans and the wider community.

Most recently, Procure Smart launched its Fan Referral Programme, giving supporters a simple way to help their club generate additional revenue while introducing local businesses to smarter contract switching services.

The programme reflects Procure Smart’s belief that partnerships should create value beyond branding opportunities. By rewarding introductions that lead to conversations, the initiative enables supporters to play an active role in supporting the club’s future while helping businesses access expert advice and potential savings.

Speaking after the event, Craig said: “Our relationship with Spennymoor Town FC continues to go from strength to strength. The Partner Engagement Night was a fantastic opportunity to connect with local businesses, share ideas and demonstrate how collaboration can deliver real value for our region.

As Principal Partners, we’re proud to support the club’s ambitions and work alongside them. The Fan Referral Programme and Sarah’s ownership of the commercial aspects of the club’s income are just a couple of examples of what’s possible when we think differently about partnerships, and we’re excited about what’s coming next.”

While the Partner Engagement Night provided an excellent opportunity to celebrate progress so far, both organisations view it as just the beginning.

Procure Smart and Spennymoor Town FC are already exploring additional initiatives by way of a shared commitment to creating long-term value, supporting economic growth across the region and ensuring that partnerships deliver meaningful outcomes for all involved.

As Procure Smart continues to challenge traditional approaches to business services and sponsorship, its partnership with Spennymoor Town FC remains a powerful example of what can be achieved when organisations work together with a shared vision.
